Shanin joined Bonsai Design in August of 2017 with over 12 years of experience as a drafter. After two and a half years drafting for Bonsai, she now leads the Design Department. With a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and an Associate of Applied Science in drafting, Shanin combines her experience as a drafter and as an educator in the field to coordinate cost-effective yet creative solutions between clients, Bonsai’s Design Department, engineering firms, and Bonsai’s installation team.
After living all over the United States and Canada, Shanin made Grand Junction her home in 2003. She enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband, Nick, racing in triathlons, hiking, snowshoeing, skiing, and camping. She has a great love of reading and when not working, she can be found with her nose in a book.
